aka merry Christmas to meee!
Instead of using my Christmas gift money on food and random clothing items or makeup, I wanted to buy myself something nice. I was debating between a Clarisonic skin cleaning system (because my forehead was breaking out for the past few months, but it has recently gotten better) and a watch, and I ended up choosing the watch. I wanted a watch because I don't own one yet (well, now I do), and it's a sophisticated and timeless (no pun intended) item that I will be able to use for a long time.

I won't bore you with the details of what different watches I wanted and why, but I'll talk about the one I did choose! I ended up choosing a Nixon brand watch, and I honestly probably would have never heard of Nixon or want a watch if it wasn't for my boyfriend, Tim. I'm a petite girl, so big-faced watches would just look really clunky on me. I chose the Small Kensington watch in gold. When I tried it on, I just knew it was the one I wanted; I didn't even have to try on any other ones. It's quite simple, but it goes well with all of my other jewelry I wear every day and the smaller face complements my small wrist. My family thinks it's weird that I wanted a watch and don't think I'll wear it every day, but I'll prove them wrong! It's so cute, and you'll probably see it in a lot or all of my future photos ;)
